Expenses !
Is there any truth to the rumour that self-employed people can now get their expenses ratified by their M.P. rather than send them to H.M. Inspector of Taxes

Re: Expenses !
Of course, MPs ARE Self-emplyed. and from the look of things, it doesn't matter ---- since HM (?) Inspector of Taxes is employed by the Government ---- MPs ! !

Re: Expenses !
I thought WE (i.e. taxpayers) employed the Civil Service and the Government. Maybe individual MPs are self-employed, don't know about that one.

Well, I've just read todays, (Monday 11th. May), front page leader.
Now the Tories are at at it.
Next week the Lib-Dems ?
Think it'll be the BNP for me at the next election. At least they haven't fiddled anything yet !!!

By all accounts (Sorry about the pun !) you may have to vote that way JR ---- Remember the Brownshirts in 1933 ?

Re: Expenses !
I did a very long study on WWII at CH Neill.
The brownshirts didn't last that long. Night of the Long Knives, and all that.
Anyway, I don't believe the BNP to be facists nowadays. Just people who love their country, hence NATIONAL.
No, before anyone asks - I'm not racist. Ask half the squad of Dorking Football Club, who incidently happen to think like I do.

I appreciate what you say JR --- but remember, I, of the 1928 Vintage (?) am "Conditioned" by Age and the Political Persuasion of my Family, since we were Whigs !
We shall agree to dis-agree ?

Re: Expenses !
one claimed to have the Moat cleaned...now i know they denied and it didnt go through as an exspense but they fact the thought crossed their mind and they tried to claim it! I think the tory claims are far more ridiculous and entertaining than the labour ones!

Moat Cleared.
New water pipe and drainage under tennis-court.
Removal of wood-worm so 2nd property could be put on the market.
2nd television.
(more interesting ones to follow, I'm sure !)
