20 years on
I've just seen that a 20 year reunion is being planned for this year. That's my year
I can't quite believe it's been (almost) 20 years since I left. I'd like to go to this reunion but it depends on when it is etc. I think I'd be VERY nervous about seeing everyone after all these years as well
What's equally as scary is the fact that my eldest is only a couple of years away from the age when I started at CH. I think I need a drink

Its amazing how time flies, i have been gone 5 1/2years and in some ways seems longer than that and in others not long enough. Im sure everyone else will be feeling just like you..a bit nervous etc. and im sure many will be in similar situations a la children's ages etc

Vonny,
Don't worry about attending the 20-years on reunion. What you will discover is that you haven't aged one iota in either looks, mind or spirit, whereas all the others will have aged incredibly - some may even look as though they need Zimmer frames - while their political stance is about ten miles to the right of Maggie T.

Good grief Amy, is it really 5 and a half years since you left...
I realised today that it will be 9 years ago this Summer!

I think I was sometime in the middle of the last century... can't remember.Great Plum wrote:I realised today that it will be 9 years ago this Summer!
On reunions - I really enjoyed the Barnes B one that happened a few years ago.
As to recognising old friends after so long I found that on most people the side view of the face was easier to recognise 'who was who' rather than the front view.

Silly question
Is it 20 years from the time you left or the time you arrived?

Re: 20 years on
yes 5 1/2 years and i would go to a reunion of my year group quite happily (even if those that were less than pleasent to me were there-for i have dealt with why they did it and moved on.)
I do think Vonny if you go that you will find you revert back 20years and for a moment may feel like you never left.

Don't rub it in!!! It's from when I left - I started in 1981 so that definitely doesn't bear thinking aboutjhopgood wrote:Silly question

I have just noticed that swirl is 78 today so presumably can claim 59 or 60 years, whether he/she will is a different matter.

Saddo that I am, I looked at some of Swirl's posts and I can't help thinking the person concerned is more likely to be 18 today than 78. I got the distinct impression Swirl was in the band last year.englishangel wrote:I have just noticed that swirl is 78 today so presumably can claim 59 or 60 years, whether he/she will is a different matter.

Re: 20 years on
I got my invite to the reunion today, along with a list of everyone who was in my year and the year above. There seems to be a lot of people CH have lost touch with as they've sent a list of everyone they are looking for.
