Old Blue expert in Solar Energy

We've had a request from Ken Leadbetter, head of the Design and Technology School at CH, regarding a pupil's project for the Head Master. It is to produce a method of feeding his doves, without human intervention for up to one month. Whatever the boy ends up designing is going to require power of some form. As the final product is to be used at their home in Italy, the idea of Solar panels springs to mind.
