Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

The Band at Twickenham to-day

Post by DavebytheSea »

The school band will be playing at this afternoon's England v Italy match at Twickenham. I gather they will play both national anthems and a couple of other marches. I see that the live boadcast starts at 1:30.

I assume the CH band were the very small 'black-blobs' in the centre of the screen. Admittedly, I switched on a couple of minutes late, but didn't witness ANYclose-ups of the band !

What I heard sounded excellent, though !

It was not on Beeb world, but told my mother to watch - she said that the band was excellent ( although clearly only on half quotient - why was that ?) - and then enjoyed watching "England duff up the Italians"

It was a very disappointing match, but the atmosphere at the game was pretty good.
I've got a few photos - will post a few up in the Photos section tomorrow...

Dull game yes but the result was right and the Italians deserve credit for taking us on up front. Their Scrum Half was a deserved Man Of The Match.

The Band (or what there was of it) sounded pretty good to me.

Thanks for that, Julian.

Better coverage of the band than BBC gave.

Is Mrs C's daughter in there, perchance ? I'll have to enlarge and have a look.
