Generational Differences
My daughters always leave something on their plate or in their cup whereas my generation eat all and drink all.
Any more?

weird.
I am a section Supervisor on FAQFarm.com (the pregnancy section since you ask) and also often answer questions on children's health and they are all obsessed with weight.
A question today asked if a teen was underweight and I gave a very similar response.
I was brought up to clear my plate (think of the starving in Africa!!!) but brought my children up to stop when they had had enough.
Daughter can leave half a KitKat!!!
No 1 son had chronic fatigue in his teens and lay in bed not moving and only eating enough for his basal metabolism. He started improving a couple of years ago and his appetite increased but his weight has not inceased as he also started moving more. About six months ago he started working with weights and his protein intake increased to build up the muscle. The last two months he has started walking and now running and his carb intake has increased correspondingly.
His weight is still the same as when he was laying in bed although he is now eating about twice as much as he did then.

I often do that. I think it stems from when I was a kid and my mother used to brew tea in a pot and then not bother with a tea strainer, so there were always leaves at the bottom of the cup.blondie95 wrote: The boyfriend always leaves a bit of tea at bottom of mug-not sure why?

It is very strange isn't it.
My problems started because I decided that two years of putting up with the self obsessed weener that is my daughter's ex-boyfriend was enough. He had allowed her to become the target of an attack by a gang of girls who were out for his blood. When my daughter tried to calm things down, he ran away and she got a thumping. I went nuts at him and told him that he had better never do that again. Now mt daughter will not talk to me because I told her mate to geta pair of balls.

Mine is the same, only eats a little white chicken too, fortunately she is a milk/cheese/eggs fan. She read somewhere that girls who drink milk tned to stay slimmer and have better skin than girls who don't, it certainly seems to work for her but I keep finding deep red lipstick round the top of the bottle.soc wrote:Ah so it is not just my girls then!!! Those girls can sleep for Engalnd!
One daughter will eat fish fingers and fish cakes but will NOT eat any other form of fish as it reminds her of seeing a fish caught on the local canal

We usually buy skimmed but she likes semi-skimmed on her cereal.
She and her brother (he doesn't drink tea/coffee etc) got through 3 pints yesterday, so I guess she had about half of that.
I had to go out before breakfast this morning and buy some more.
We get 4 pints delivered Mon/Wed/Fri and I buy a top-up at weekends, so we don't usually get through as much as yesterday.
