RIP Tenniel Evans
I've just heard that Tenniel Evans (Th A 37-44) died on Wednesday aged 83. He was quite a well known character actor (as is his daughter Serena), in fact I knew of him long before I realised he was an OB.

Well well, I knew him as an actor but didn't know he was an OB.
Son Matthew is a director, lots of stuff like Heartbeat and Casualty.
Serena probably best known (in our house anyway) as Sgt. Dawkins in The Thin Blue LIne

I trust JH or someone will ensure a great Obit for the 'Old Blue'.

Sad to read this.
I remember him playing Nicholas Lyndhurst's grandfather in a comedy series called The Two of Us a few years back which my daughters enjoyed at the time.

I am relieved to say that Jo looks after this section, and is well ahead of the game on this one.

Re: RIP Tenniel Evans
I'm wondering if anyone on the forum (Neill???) remembers him from CH and would be willing to contribute any reminiscences? I will certainly be pulling together an obit from what's publicly available, but most of that contains only incidental references to CH.

Am I not right in thinking that he was the Rev. T Evans ?

He wrote a wonderful autobiography called 'Don't Walk in the Long Grass'. I lent my copy to DRW and it went walkies from her room, so I never got it back. I've often been tempted to buy another copy - there's almost always one on eBay.

I ordered one the other day as someone suggested it might help in compiling an obit. I paid £2.76 - £.01 for the book, and £2.75 p&p!!

You'll enjoy it, Jo.. and there is quite a bit about CH in it (which is why I lent my copy to DRW..)
