Surrey/Hants. Old Blues Dinner
I got to go to my first OB Dinner on Friday, the Surrey/Hants Old Blues' Dinner in Guildford. Was good fun, and I certainly learnt a lot - there's so much that OBs know that we don't get taught, like the history of CH on Founders Day and things like that - it's a real shame! I have a photo of us Blues with some of the OBs, but I've no idea how to upload it...help?

Re: Surrey/Hants. Old Blues Dinner
I had hoped to go to that meal but alas, fate fell upon me like a fainting squirrel!
After nearly 10 years of being an OB, I have yet to go to an OB dinner...

Ok, doubtless this won't work, but anyway...

Ok, apparently it does work! Wow, I never knew it was so easy!

So it does!
I didn't notice Ron Lorimer until you mentioned it Mid A 15.

I would have missed Ron Lorimer as well (Thanks Mid A 15). The gentleman in the rear row wearing glasses also looks familiar, does anyone know who it is?

Another question if I may.
Why do some girls wear "bands" the same as the boys and others wear a cravat type variation?

some of the girls are in ceremonial uniform which has the large frilly bands.

Re: Surrey/Hants. Old Blues Dinner
Thanks, I was reluctant to use the term frilly. I once was part of a parade where full medals were required, one female participant had won a gallantry medal in Northern Ireland, she was reluctant to wear the medal as the female variation required the wearing of what can only be described as a frilly bow.
