Come on Peeps, with all the 'exes' on this forum I would have thought we could do better for Mnsr S than two entries - one from a 70's expellee from Hertford and one from a 70's presumed succcessful combatant!! :wine:

There were just two entries (gma and MidA 15) who each successfully identified the same pair of brothers.

The correct answers are

Back row, 1st and 2nd from right: Hugh and Neil Williams, the sons of the Archdeacon of Montgomery
4th row back, 5th from right (me), front row, 3rd from right (my brother Peter)
Back row, 5th from left, front row, extreme right (David and Nick Johnstone) (this pair were identified)
4th row back, 2nd from left, front row, 4th from right (Terence and Michael Lidington)
3rd row, 6th from left, front row, 6th from left (Michael and Peter Bates)

Although gma and MidA 15 tied on identifications, there was some hedging on the part of gma, so I think I can declare Mid A 15 the winner

Well, well I've been chosen as winner :o

If acceptable to Michael (and Gerrie my worthy opponent) I should like the donation to go to the Benevolent Society of Blues, colloquially known as the BSB

http://www.bluessupportingblues.com/who_we_are.html

as it seems the most appropiate beneficiary from a CH forum.

Thank you Michael for your generosity in making the offer in the first place.

As you can see from the dates, it has taken me several weeks to work through the trauma of being placed last in this competition; but then as my therapist pointed out, the winner was second to last so I can't be all bad!!

How bizarre that we picked the same pairs of ears out!! What are the odds of that happening? (And I know someone out there is going to tell me!!)

Have to say that I wholeheartedly support the winner's donation location - well thought out! So here's to you Andy, my valiant opponent and earpicker-extraordinaire!! :partyman: :prayer: :partyman:
