Brilliant try. Strange how the All Blacks seemed always to tackle JPR at throat level.

It reminded me of something I heard when I visited Newport with a friend in the late 60's.
Apparently JPR went along to the bus station to discover that he had missed the last bus home.
One of the drivers was still there, and got out a bus and ran JPR back to his lodgings.

The next day the driver told his inspector what had happened, expecting to be congratulated, but instead the inspector was furious.

When asked why, he was told:
"You should have taken out a double decker, he might have wanted to smoke."

he is a fantastic player, him and all his brothers who play at Tigers really are good. His brother Alex is a fantastic 6' somehting 16st winger who can run

still not holding hope up fpr SA if we can put up a match then great but i think we will do what we normally do and not be able to close a game off when we have the lead

I think in reality Catt will play stand off with Farrell at inside centre.

That's a great story!

An old rugby friend of mine used to play JPR at squash and apparently if you hogged the "T" too much JPR wasn't above the occasional shoulder charge to encourage you to move!

Those of a certain age might remember the match against France when JPR shoulder charged the French winger, Jean Francois Gourdon I think, into touch to prevent a certain try.

If JPR shoulder charged you, you stayed shoulder charged!

what were the odds on that 12 hours ago! Its been a fantastic day of rugby.

I was so nervous before the Eng match, and in the dying minutes. (we then took pleasure in seeing the aussies cry

) then watching the French come back from not having socred at all at half time to winning was just brilliant.

Its hard to believe niether the NZ of Aussies are in the World Cup now and Eng and France who had poor pool matches are in the semi's!

All we need now is Fiji to beat SA and the Scots to beat ther Argentinans. (although i would like the argies to get to the final and win if England dont)

Great to see England actually playing as a team. Still a bit concerned about the inability to score tries. I know the Aussies have a very tight defence, but still......

Andrew Sheridan seems to be a one-man destroyer of scrums. Hope he stays fit!

Good effort by Fiji but not quite enough.....

Had (?Renny) grounded that ball though before being bundled into touch in goal who knows?

come on Scotland.............................

(slight problem though, as a quarter scottish and with a very scottish father i should be supporting them but I also think the Argentians deserve to go through as they really have played well in the tournament)

Not being funny Amy but if your Dad is Scottish why are you only a quarter Scottish?

Surely you are at least half Scottish?
