Oh yes, they're slightly naff though. I tried to lift my foot high enough so that I could dry it ( under layers of wet tights uugh ) but it didnt work. Most of the time theyre broke but I was there for abotu 5 mins trying to dry these little patent leather ballet pumps which I use for school shoes. They have a hole by the toe so my toes were soaked.

My boyfriend said i needed to buy sensible shoes for winter so off i went and got me some very nice brown suede cowboy style boots! according to Ben that was not sensible as they have no tread on the soles and are suede!! Sensible shoes were suggested as trainers(i only wear those when doing exercise) or timberland boots(those make my feet look riduclous! i have size 8 feet!)

Well standard shoe at CH are doc martens, which are actually incredibly comfy (once you have broken the backs down) and incredibly sensible-good grips on those so no possibility of sliding around!gemmygemmerson wrote:I want some proper shoes. I've never had a pair of doc martins. I'll spend ages wearing them in before I go, so i'm not moaning at the pain in the first couple of days there. Wouldnt want anyone's first impressions of me to be worsened by bad shoes eh?.
I had one pair that were so painful that I walked barefoot for the entire school day.

My daughter had a pair of Doc Martens for her 17th birthday, the boots, not the shoes, and she wore them to school the next day, and has never has a moment's trouble.
I'll post the website when I get home. (Very quiet at work today)

I'm hardly surprised ! The boots are lethal weapons !englishangel wrote:My daughter had a pair of Doc Martens for her 17th birthday, the boots, not the shoes, and she wore them to school the next day, and has never has a moment's trouble.

Ooh Shoe shopping!......I'm such a girl.
I've never had a pair but I have 4 pairs of converse, each in different states of dissrepair and covered in a mix of sequins and beads or ribbon laces. I have a feeling that I am going to be definitely getting a good pair of shoes.
On another note, I had to spend quite a bit of my day at school, ( though once I got home I was fully focoused on the book, thanks Katharine!) due to shoddy d.t. I had to paint and sew and hem and seam my duvet for annoying coursework. I so didn't want to spend my saturday at school!.

I got a letter from CH yesterday!. It was basically telling me the dates for the induction week. I'm really excited about it but I only really have a rough idea of what happens then. Can anyone tell me what actualy happens at the induction week?]
- where we stay?
-what we do. classes or something else?
- Is the uniform allocated at the beginning or should I just wear smart clothes?.
If any one can give me some infro that would be great!.
