I am bringing my daughter, who has a beautiful voice, but is rather shy and it is going to be embarrassing enough for her without Mum making a spectacle of herself too.
The family always joke (well comment, not sure if it is a joke) that I always sound as if I am singing in church. I must say the last time I let rip was at a funeral.

Well - last year, Mary, the wife of an Old Blue and their daughter sung in the choir (he didn't).
So you can see that the canvas is broad and all are welcome!
If you and your daughter agree to sing in the choir (go on.. it doesn't cost any more! Only you have to get there for 4.30.....) she could sit one end of the Alto line and you could sit the other, if you think she would be embarrassed by you! And what an occasion to let rip!

Daughter is still at school and not sure what time she will finish that day. It is a Wednesday and I know she often 'bunks off' in the afternoon but I think 4.30 is pushing it.kerrensimmonds wrote:Well - last year, Mary, the wife of an Old Blue and their daughter sung in the choir (he didn't).

We will just add 'body' to the audience.

Dress Code for Choristers and Brass Players
As e mailed to everyone on the list - but here it is again, just in case.....
black bottoms (trousers or long skirts)
black tops
with something bright and colourful (preferably a 'Christmas' colour such as red or green) to adorn the black top - tie, scarf, waistcoat, whatever!

Re: Dress Code for Choristers and Brass Players
I'm in the congregation/audience, but do you want me to wear the red syrup?kerrensimmonds wrote:As e mailed to everyone on the list - but here it is again, just in case.....

(Cockney Rhyming Slang apparently).
BTW, is it a congregation or an audience?
