hear hear Mrs C - we are as usual in agreement - I don't actually care about the political side having been under labour rule here for so long (I would really welcome a change!), but it has to be aimed at only 1 sector of the population - and it is their view - not the public view - to take the public view of where would you like to live most - I expect the Bahamas would come up quite high!

right, i would live in Horsham if I was married and jut starting a family! I think its the perfect sort of place for that or for older couple who have had children fled the nest! Yes its too close to Crawley but you dont have to go there, Horsham has improved over last couple of years in terms of shops and things to do! I love going back to Horsham to see parents when i do but thats because I see it as home and have some very fond memories! There are much worse places to live than Horsham!

The only time I have been was to the cinema to see James Bond in 'A View to a Kill' which must have been 1987-ish. Didn't see anything of the town.

thats probably the best thing, my best friend described it well, put a concrete wall round it and fill it up!

Horsham is semi in the sitcks! I dont think i could cope with being completley in the sitcks I like to be a shortish walk from a pub and shop!

It is a 'new town' hellhole - based around a small village. It now has a population appraoching 100,000 I think and is dire beyond belief...

I always liked Crawley as a place to shop

No doubt it's changed (for the worse by the looks of it) since I was at CH. i always fancied living in Horsham when I was at CH but I wouldn't like to now I don't think. I can't imagine living anywhere that's not a couple of minutes from the the sea!

When we first visited Crawley when on a visit from S Devon, we were amazed at the shopping mall- we had nothing like it at home. However, the novelty soon wore off once we lived here.
Crawley appears to be the centre of the world for over-weight, loud-mouthed chavs.

I HATE shopping malls - I don't even like Swan Walk in Horsham, which is tiny compared to that enormous chav-magnet in Crawley (which I'm pleased to say I've never visited).

Also, any trouble on the trains around these parts always seems to be caused by vile youths who get on and off between Three Bridges / Crawley / Ifield.

I loathe the place, and if it wasn't for the fact that there's a fairly useful Indian food shop in the High Street I'd never go there.
