I think ruth was saying that UKIP wasn't a centrist party...

I see what you mean having reread it the earlier posts!

My understanding is that UKIP are presently attracting more disaffected Labour and Lib Dem voters as members than disaffected Tories.

I think disenchantment with the EU and all it's workings transcends traditional party divisions.

personally I'm pretty anti-Europe, I think it's just making bigger boundaries round the outside, I've always been what I considered very left-wing, but if it wasn't for the Europe issue I'd vote Lib Dem. ATM I don't know who to go for but it won't be Labour, Tory or UKIP, that's what I do know...

I didn't say I thought they were desirable, but having seen many of the voters in Burnley looking for a credible answer to Labour, they seem to turning to UKIP and BNP. Heavens forbid!
