well i dont think about mine as a loan as i will begin to pay it off when i start earning enough and then its proportionate to what i earn. So when you start when you begin to earn £15k its about £25 a month

Prob is every month im earning £25 interest on it!!!

Sensible girl; no doubt you've been reading the Fool (Motley Fool UK web site that is).
Yes, pure advertiment for a service to increase the pence in your pocket - and they don't pay me.

it means you pay it off quicker, but it also means that you pay off a higher proportion, still meaning that you dont have much surplus income.

I believe you pay back 9% of your gross income above £15,000 per annum. So if for example you were to earn £16,000 a year then £90 for the year or £7.50 per month would be repaid via the PAYE system if you are employed or your self assessment tax return if self employed.

Maybe this comment should be on the generational differences thread but it seems to me that people these days now HAVE to incur debt for necessities like an education not just extravagant luxuries.

You are so right there Andy, that is what worries me for my daughters' sakes, are they going to be crippled by debt before they have started their working lives?

I honestly believe that UKIP is rather like a fashion item. Extremely desirable for a while but the shelf life is very short
