I have been to footie and both rugby codes, Quins and London Broncos, now Quins rugby League, don't EVER let a league player hear you use that word, you will be without your man bits in the morning.

Rugby League is my favourite.

Saying exactly that is a great way to make phone in sessions on local radio more spicy. I just ring up and say Poofs rugby then sit back and wait for the reaction. The radio station loves it because listener figures go through the roof!

Quite right Sean - They are.

The poles in Rugby go higher above the cross-bar as well, and they don't have nets.

NETS ?? Don't get me started on nets. As I'm 6ft-3", I usually get the job of checking the nets at our footy matches before the match referee makes his inspection !

Fishing! Fishing has nets too. ... another popular sport that's different in many ways from both footie and rugby.

.... and everybody will have a whale of a time - catching pollacks in the scrum and diving in the penalty area.

sometimes a particular section eg Rugby Club will submit a report on their activities.

No the onus is very much on individual clubs, societies etc to submit their own reports. JH will confirm or deny but it probably would be regular if the clubs regularly contributed.

The magazine is only as good as the submissions from Old Blues.

In the past we have had articles on Fives and Golf, and would welcome others that are of general interest to Old Blues.
We also announced the start of the Sailing and Cruising club, nothing to do with swinging I am assured.
I know that there has been an attempt to start an OB's soccer club in/near London, and that a girls Hockey team may well start to function soon, based around the OBRFC.
I did receive an annual report from the OBRFC but it was too much to condense easily.
We have had a sports section and will again when there is something to report.
Whatever we get, please ensure that there is also photographic evidence to brighten the page.
