we girls were not allowed to have hair on our collars either - I rebelled against my step mother who (like my wretched father) liked me in a short top and side cut at the barbers - it was cheaper than going to a hairdressr, so once I got to CH I started growing it, and by the time I was in the 4th form it was long enough to plait - however, only prefects were allowed to put their hair up in a BUN! I managled mine up by a plait and tucked it in on itself - as it wasn't a "proper" bun ( although Miss Morrison never was totally convinced!) I managed to get away with it!

It sounds like they really tried to ruin any chance of fun at Hertford.

Tried but failed in most cases - we had a great time waking up the whole school at 6am on leavers day by ringing the bell ( hand rope thing) and then basking all the pots pans lids and cook ware we had strung up along the avenue............

sounds like you two should take a cold shower

but if you do the cold shower together what if the pressure is low

jr will have to get out to man the hand pump
