This limerick thing is quite catchy
The photo link was a bit patchy
Its not Uncle Rod
Nor any old bod
Just a google search under 'apache'...
You see, when I was born
It was the Shadows, not KORN
who were top of the pops way back then.
So I looked for a picture
To make my posts richer
I'll change him soon, just don't know when.

It seems that that you're coming to findMrs C. wrote:Well thank you for calling me young!
And you need have no fear for the tongue
of your car I do speak,
so lets give it a tweek,
and let the wind blow us along.
That propulsion achieved by the wind
Is better by far
Than driving a car
And environmentally kind.

There's a name for those people like me
A petrol head it seems to be
We like global warming
This summer was "storming"
I'm glad that my litres are 3
But please don't think I'm a fool
For on daily journeys to school
We use pedal bikes
(And used to use trike)
I wouldn't mind using a mule!
For my work I do need a car
Equipment galore I take far
And if that's not right
My use is quite light
I never drive down to the bar

A wonderful lady called Jude
Went swimming at Stratton (near Bude).
She had taken no thoughts
About swimwear or shorts
So just went for a swim in the briny sea having taken all the usual precautions.
NB The lady referred to is not intended to bear any resemblance to the excellent members of this forum unless she wants to.

I've gained my buttons at last
But only because of the past
Postings I've made
On the forum displayed
('Though regrettably not very fast).
My problem is called Posters' Block
Which results from the terrible shock
Of knowing the time
You have spent making rhyme
On this Forum ignoring the clock.
One thousand (and more) I have written
And last night at my desk I was sittin'
And dished out the muck
About JR and Ruck
And now with remorse I am smitten.
Please ignore all ruderies committed on my 1000th posting ("DavebytheSea is closing in")

Amy is Blondie's real name
I discovered from reading the same
Here on this forum.
She writes with decorum
While we stammer and blush with due shame.
Her avatar shows off her beauty
(She really is such a cutey!)
But we men must desist,
All temptation resist,
If we are to keep to our duty.
