Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

David, Luke and Richard Ruck
You broke the rules so now you're stuck
With making an apology
For on this thread can only be
Here writ such verse as you can pen.
And Richard, you of all the men
Should know the rules upon this thread;
They should by now be in your head
For you have sinned before I fear.
So retribution now is near.
And so we wait with happy glee
For proper verse from all you three!

(Don't worry Luke. It doesn't have to rhyme - just any old attempt at a limerick or other poetic form is admissable - but it is customary when one forgets to do this, to make amends by producing an apologia in verse. - I have had to do it myself as you will see if you scroll backwards!)

My goodness me
I feel a plea,
Rising up inside.

It chokes me to croak
An apology to folk,
Yet it must be done

There it be
A sorry to thee
Let it end here for me

A new poet here doth appear
Let's all give Darthmaul a great cheer
We all hope I'm sure,
For an abundance of more
Verses from Luke written here.

Why must it be
That a plank such as me
Should overlook such a law
As old and as core
To the thread of all threads

Could it be youth
Or am I uncouth?
Shall I know the truth of it all
Or must I be flawed?

To adhere to the law
Is a terrible chore
Albeit amazingly fun

It seems they all talk in rhyme,
Like the sage, its all of the thyme.
The weather gets wetter,
the couplets get better,
Though to me, it seems such a crime.

A star arises in the west
In Grecians West to be precise
From Housie scholar so concise
This poem surely is the best.

To bed soon must I go
Recover the glow
That comes with the rest of the spirit

I shall bid thee farewell
In the West thou dost dwell
In pastures fair and green

Come the new morn
The differences torn
A new verse in me will be risen

So let's have some fun
Another one Luke!
Or was last night a fluke?

You broke the rules so now you're stuck
One has to be careful with verse.
When writing of Richard it's worse -
For his surname is Ruck
And I don't give a hoot
That his surname, it rhymes with a curse. :?

Your reference to names we may call
the others who may act the fool.
Guides us rightly away
from words leading astray.
For the next verse, over to darthmaul.

Good grief, could I ever compete
With the trusty and awesome elite?
Their showmanship shows,
Whilst the poetry flows
In a stream of ne'erending posts.

For this thread I blame Roger Martin.
Who taught English and did some house mastering (yuk)
he enjoyed a good time
while teaching pupils to rhyme
but never guessed that it would lead to such Larkin'.

Roses are red violets are blue

Oh Mrs Mid A what shall I buy you?

But the price of flowers could put me in hock!

maybe instead some champers and choc!

What pleases women I haven't a clue!

For this thread I blame Reggie Watters
Though some peoples rhyme kind of totters
A lot of you jotters
Are poetic rotters
Perhaps you'd be better train spotters?

And Larkin was quite a good poet
There's one really rude line (I know it)
The one about parents
The f word I daren't
Use or you would tell me to throw it
