New Victim comes forward
Dear All
I will not be flavour of the month but a further victim of sexual abuse at CH has come forward.
This once again may stop any press on the matter of CH.
I have deep reservations on this. But it is what it is.
I know no details - who the accused is or when.
I suggest that you do not speculate.

Have they come forward to the police or to the school?

Thanks Rob.
I can't say that I'm surprised. In fact I was expecting it.

Does it make any difference? The school would have to pass on any information and also press the person to contact the police so I suppose we have to assume the police are closely involved.DazedandConfused wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2019 11:01 am Have they come forward to the police or to the school?
Let's just leave the subject alone because anything would be pure speculation and helpful to nobody
What happens if a politician drowns in a river? That is pollution.
What happens if all of them drown? That is solution!!!

I'll let you know more tomorrow - but the person has come forward to the police. The school is simply irrelevant.

They don't exactly have a very good track record of passing information on to the police, even when legally obliged to do so...sejintenej wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 8:43 pm Does it make any difference? The school would have to pass on any information and also press the person to contact the police

I can confirm that a further investigation is taking place by the police re a master at CH.
The master has already been tried for another/other cases.
It is NOT Peter Burr. It is a single victim.
The editorial dept. and the legal dept. at The Times are meeting today to see if they feel able to release the article which is now nearly a year old. The police and CPS have confirmed that they once again have no opposition to it being released. It is a full page.

If the Times publishes, it may lead to a host of further complaints.

If only CH could see that its true interest is to lance the boil and get absolutely everything out into the open, rather than face years of negative drip-feed.

Re: New Victim comes forward
Any claims in litigation will be defended and paid by the insurers. So school will be told not to do anything that could compromise the insurers' position, such as pay for Counselling.
So I find it difficult to see exactly how the school can "reach out" to the victims. A cup of tea and plate of biscuits isn't really reaching out. Not as I see it, anyway.
Nonetheless, I may be pleasantly surprised.

Actually a cup of tea and a biscuit is better than nothing!
The meeting will now be without prejudice so no legal inference can be applied.
BUT what is the point?
I am starting to think I am wasting my time and life (what little is left) on this.
We can't agree on an agenda; we can't agree on a location for any form of reconciliation - if as victims we can't agree then what is the point of any thing at all?
?????

Keep going Robert. I'm not surprised you're tired of it all but it seems that slowly but surely justice is being done. No place in society for paedophiles. Abusing children is the lowest of the low.

Hi Chaps
Interesting two days - I will come back to you.
I am meeting with a victim today so need space.
However I will say the school (Hi Business manager reading this and thanks for the last two days) is really interacting with the idea of reconciliation.
This is good - they need to.
Rob - oh by the way I will now attend each and every court case and trial if and when they occur.
