Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

“Charlton Athletic v Brighton and Hove Albion”

Post by J.R. »

After having moved two topics, then returning one, the above thread appeared in two forums.

I removed the topic from Non CH Stuff, and the server then decided to delete BOTH threads.

One for Julian, I'm afraid, as it won't let me retrieve the original.

If posters would like to post their comments on here again, that'd be great. If not, please wait for JT to rectify the situation.

Sorry JR - I didn't mean to create havoc - I was just puzzled because Kerren is very definitely CH 'Stuff'; football isn't necessarily!

This thread seems to have been doomed from the start, hope it's not an omen for poor Pompey :?

Quick summary of the rubbish I wrote on the dead thread:

1) John Baine, aka Attila the Stockbroker and an Old Blue, was a Brighton representative on the pitch at The Valley on Saturday 8 December and released some blue and white balloons, on behalf of Brighton, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Charlton's return to The Valley.

(Hence why CH Stuff was selected as the location for the original thread).

2) It's a shame John Hopgood couldn't make it as my daughter's season ticket was available and he could have used it.

3) dsmg is a Portsmouth fan and, coincidentally, Portsmouth were Charlton's opponents in the very first game back at The Valley 20 years ago.

4) I feel for all Pompey fans, given the boardroom shenanigans that they have had to endure over the past few years, and very much hope that their Supporters' Trust is allowed to take control of the Club and introduce some much needed sanity.
