Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

I would expect a nine year old to write bettter than that! If this is intended to be read in another 1000 years time then what are the readers going to think about the compiler? This is on the BBC site so presumably they take some responsibility; if they can't do better then why should we pay for them to enjoy swanning around the world instead of learning to write competently?

Interestingly CH has boys and girls but it is the boys who live in houses. Are the girls so hardy that they don't need houses? The uniform is a black robe which dates from 1553 - but has no moth-holes despite deserving to be in a museum. No shoes, no socks, no other clothes?
The school moved from London in 1902 - what about the girls?
Hasn't the writer heard of full stops? paragraphs? even basic grammer - obviously not an OB.

The BBc domesday project was compiled using school childrens submissions so it could have been written by a 9 yo. Also as it was written before the girls arrived the comment about boys in houses made sense.

Here is the hertford entry

DUCATION

Christs Hospital is one of the most
famous and historic schools in
Hertford. It was a boarding school for
the children who's parents are badly
paid. The families would pay as much as
they could and the rest was paid by
charity.Nowadays the school is an all
girls school;but it is soon to be
pulled down.
Richard Hale was founded by a London
Merchant called Richard Hale in
1617.In 1930 they moved to the present
main building. The school now has over
1000 pupils.It is a boys comprehensive
school and the crest is that of
Richard Hales coat of arms.
Haleybury college was founded in
1805 by East India Company. It was in
55 acres.In 1976 girls were admitted.
The total number of pupils is 650.
Simon Balle has 850 pupils and is
situatated at one end of Balles Park
