One thing which struck me, was the fact that some girls were not wearing yellow stockings ---- but a sort of dark grey blue.
When I enquired of some of them, I was told that "Seniors" don't have to wear the yellow ---- because they "Didn't like the Uniform" ------- I thanked them, with courtesy------ and disappeared round a corner to exclaim to myself ***^*****!!

Any body who doesn't like the uniform should make way for someone who DOES --- There is a queue !!
yes it is very different now !! :(

I have worked with people whose DNA has given them unusual hair colouration - a known inherited situation which the person could do nothing about. I was watching a man yesterday - about 40 - 50 yerars of age whose hair is whiter than writing paper.
So, given that DNA can be fickle that girl's hair COULD be natural and I would not want to insult her by suggesting that she had chosen it.

Someone commented about my observation on Louise having a cut-away collar saying that she is a grecian. In the old days grecians had the normal collar UNLESS they had their buttons - and Loiuise hasn't her buttons yet. Perhaps going back to the 1960's coat styles would save the school some money.

Realised this morning that, in perhaps a hundred years time when she seeks admittance, St Peter will shudder at the remembrance of last autumn's prayers and admit Louise without hesitationin case the heaven waves are overloaded again. As englishangel wrote, it's good to see her so fit and healthy.

Thanks so much, David :D :D

(and Louise is Second Form, a looooooong way from Grecians yet :D )

Am I imagining it or have some of those smileys acquired Neill's moustache?! And why is TBA not in the picture? Or was she operating the camera? So do you intend to go again for Old Blues' Day, Neill, or have I missed the chance to meet you 'in the flesh' - and please no funnies from JR!

I have asked my daughter (GE) about the yellow sock/black tights thing and she is of the opinion that it's really just to differentiate between the Seniors and Juniors; certainly in her case and that of her friends, it's not because they don't like the uniform just a status/seniority thing :)

and that!!

and while I`m here - today was the last day for Grecian girls to wear Housey Coats - at least one GRW girl (who came as a new Dep) was seen lovingly hugging and saying goodbye to hers !

I suppose they have to start practising dressing like women(probably wear the Lady GaGa stuff under their Housey coats anyway) (down JR).
If you live in London you just hang around La Senza (or similar) and watch the burkha/hijab clad women swooping down and picking the place clean.
