Death of John Robson

Sad to say the current edition of the Church Times includes the following announcement:

ROBSON. — On 2 February, the Revd John Phillips Robson: Assistant Chaplain of Christ’s Hospital, Horsham (1962-65); Chaplain (1965-80); Senior Chaplain of Wellington College (1980-89); Chaplain to the Royal ...

According to her entry in Who's Blue 1997, she taught at CH Hertford from 1972 to 1984 (i.e. not 1987 as stated in the obituary).

Death of Ian Atkinson in 2022

I learnt this evening that the Rev Ian Atkinson (Assistant Chaplain at CH Horsham 1970-1985) died in May 2022.

Re: Nick Nicholas Coker

Does anyone remember Nick/Nicholas Coker? I believe he left in 1969. I recently watched The Souvenir, a movie by Joanna Hogg, which features an intriguing character heavily inspired by him. A feature film she made in college starring Tilda Swinton was also dedicated to him. From what I have ...

Pete Wilkins, rugby coach

Connacht Rugby is one of Ireland's four professional provincial rugby teams. Pete Wilkins (Middleton B 1990-97) has been, we're told, "widely tipped" to become its head coach next year.

This article outlines his eventful career:

Susannah Fielding on TV this evening

Apologies for the short notice, but the second series of BBC1's This Time with Alan Partridge begins tonight at 9.30pm, with Susannah Fielding (Glanville-Hearson, Coleridge B & Grecians West 2001-03) returning to the role of Jennie Gresham, Alan's long-suffering co-host.

She certainly made her mark ...

Re: Curious

After Webb was given the boot, it came to my ears that he'd been dismissed for exactly what he had indeed been dismissed for: fondling boys in the dormitory at night. And yet I had left the school years before he was booted out. So how can it be that I, an Old Blue, got to hear about the real ...

The aristocrats in their ...
