What very everyday things have people (for whatever reason) never done? To start the ball rolling, I must confess to never having:
smoked a whole cigarette (of whatever substance);
worn a pair of jeans;
sent (or received) a text message.

I've never eaten veal after seeing young bull-calfs being slaughtered when I was a young and impressionable boy !

Quote from Marty. This must indicate that he has tried each of these at least once, to know that he cannot stand any of them?I have never:
watched Coronation Street
had a cup of coffee
eaten a fried egg or an orange
for the simple reason that I can't stand any of them!
For myself, I have never tried any illegal substances. The closest I got (aged about 20) was to 'smoke' a cinnamon stick. It sent me silly and I felt very sick afterwards. What a sheltered life I have led!

Not true, Kerren. I have tasted coffee but not more than the smallest of small sips, I've probably only ever had no more than a teaspoon of coffee my whole life so my statement is true - I've never had a cup of coffee. I've never eaten fried eggs or oranges because the smell and sight of the things make me heave and wretch. Coronation Street I've seen trailers for but never sat down to watch an episode - that bl**dy trumpet on the theme tune sends me into a blind rage. I hate soaps in general and could add Emmerdale and Brookside to the list!kerrensimmonds wrote:Quote from Marty. My therapist says I have a preoccupation with vengeance. We’ll see about that.

I can echo Amy in all of these - can also add that I have never watched Big Brother, 'I'm a celebrity get me out of here' etc.blondie95 wrote:I have never smoked a cigarette (not even a puff)
Not taken any illegal substance
Watched the Star Wars films
I have never played poker ...
I have never gone skiing (or skinny dipping)
I think I may be a sad case!!!

I've never been skiing either, come to think of it. I must admit I watched some "Big Brother" once. I was zapping, and thought I'd landed on some play or other, but it was too boring for words, and I zapped on. Discovered my mistake later.Katharine wrote: can also add that I have never watched Big Brother, 'I'm a celebrity get me out of here' etc.

You're never too old to go skinny-dipping. Come to Germany, where it's a perfectly respectable pastime for all ages!

I've never been to Spain, or Portugal, or Ireland - or Denmark or Norway or Sweden or Finland or Iceland or anywhere outside Europe. I have only been through Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany on a coach en route to Austria, and I have only been to Scotland once, and that for less than 24 hours. I haven't been skinny dipping, either....

I have never:
Driven a car
Ridden a bike
though did make an attempt at both a long time ago....
Am somewhat struck dumb by what is considered ordinary. Skiing? What's that? Does "never done a parachute jump" or "never walked on hot coals" count?

I have never been to Spain either, not even an island. Nor have I ever taken an illegal substance.
When was the cut-off for wearing jeans? I lived in them until I was 40 but I know a number of older people who have never worn them.
