Jumping Generations
Over 60 years ago c.1950 I was returning home at the end of term from Liverpool Street when an elderly lady began to ask about CH. She told me that her father had been a pupil in London and that one of the favourite occupations of some pupils was to get a good vantage point within the school premises to watch the hangings in Newgate prison. I put the date to be about 1840/50. John Saunders
Re: Jumping Generations
That reminds me. What's the status of the legal case against some alleged generation jumping at CH in the 1990s?

At a guess it is about pupils following a grandparent but no parent to CHFoureyes wrote:Can anyone explain what "Generation jumping" means in this context, please, and why it shouild have possible legal implications for C.H.???That reminds me. What happens if a politician drowns in a river? That is pollution.
What happens if all of them drown? That is solution!!!

Thinking about it a bit more I feel it may have been a rather clever euphemism - nice one, Avon!! If I am correct, there was supposed to be a court hearing in December, but I have never seen any reports.

Sorry, I was being a bit scurrilous. I must admit to a morbid fascination with the case; I know who two of the three accused are.Foureyes wrote:Thinking about it a bit more I feel it may have been a rather clever euphemism - nice one, Avon!!
