I've learned quite a bit about CH in my first month here, not all of it good unfortunately. The MasterPlan seems fairly unpopular for one.
If you were to get the job as Head what would you change?

Improve on-site pest control, probably through the acquisition of a second cat.

Seriously though, the headmaster only holds power of the teaching side of the school. The real power of the Foundation is held by the Clerk.

So the Clerk looks after pest-control, then? Damn!

I'd certainly get the standard of general appearance, and smartness of the uniform back to the 'good-old-days'.

I'd probably also reduce the amount of choices of food available. Too namby-pamby these days.

cockroaches might just be a tad expensive in my regime. You get more for your money with wood-lice. (Good 'ol cheesy-bugs).

But they don't have the scratchy legs, and cockroaches are much quicker to reproduce.

right you are Ms. Pedantic......I should have in fact used the term Kesp (Knitted Edible Spun Protein) which Loringa describes on the Favourite Meal thread..............

"During my time at CH, the food was uniformly awful. In the mid to late 70s, the catering staff introduced a meat substitute called 'kesp' to save money. Apparently it had been trialled in Wolverhampton so that was okay then! Initially kesp was used to bulk out the meat in pies and stews but eventually it became the sole source of protein and meals of such grotesque awfulness as 'Curried Kesp' became common-place."

....he's quite right, it was horrible.

There is a reason for my pedantry.

My mentor at Uni. was the chap who did most of the development work on Quorn, and was (I believe) the development director of the company.

Disgracefully I am unable to remember his name.
