Woodworm cricket bat

Dunno if this has been posted elsewhere, apologies if so - but I was listening to the Today programme on radio 4 yesterday and on came one Joe Sillett, to talk about his cricket bat company.
He said that his dad (Mr Bob Sillett I presume!!!) had dug out an old woodworm-riddled bat from his shed, and Joe had spent a day sanding / carving away all the damaged parts. The resulting bat had an odd shape but he used it anyway for his team in Surrey, and scored 142! So he developed the design and set up a company to market it. Nowdays he's grown the company and sold 15,000 bats last year - at c.£200 apiece that's a tidy sum - and Flintoff uses one to batter the aussies with.

Woodworm was mentioned on Test Match Special yesterday when Freddie Flintoff was batting. Pietersen also uses a woodworm apparently.

Yes, Pietersen does... Joe Sillett is doing pretty well out of these bats by all accounts...
