Sad news indeed. Dominic was one of the good guys from what I recall.

Yes. A 'good bloke'. The Guardian obituary mentioned how Nick Plumley had helped fire his enthusiasm for church organs. I remember that as part of a Grecians' Option Programme (I think) going down to his study for an introduction to classical musical. I already knew Mozart and Bach thanks to my study mate, but Britten etc. was new to me.

Very sad to hear this news.
Dominic and my late brother Greg were good friends, and I met Dominic on a few occasions. He was a good guy.
I may be wrong, but I believe Dominic's uncle was actor Michael Gwynn, probably best remembered for his role as the conman, Lord Melbury, in "A Touch of Class" - the first episode of the BBC sitcom "Fawlty Towers".
