Bursary question please

By chance I came across the school and it sounds all fantastic. Hence, I did some research into the bursary as I am a person who always likes to check the small print.
I now have a question which I am hoping some of you parents can answer.
The bursary policy states that both parents are expected to work (if the parents are together) apart from the fact that there is a child under school age in the household.
So what will happen if the mum is a SAHM (stay at home mum) and the little one turns to school age. Will the SAHM then be expected to work?
Also, what do they define school age as, reception class or Year 1.
Will the school automatically cut the bursary once the child has reached school age or does it depend how likely it is the SAHM can secure employment?
Hopefully someone was in a similar situation and can answer.
Thank you ever so much for reading.

Welcome Icescream, unfortunately the parents side of this forum has declined and at the moment I don’t think there are any parents posting. Most of us who post attended the schools many many years ago so we won’t have any relevant information to help you.

Is it possible to make enquiries from the school itself, or search for relevant Facebook groups!

I think you need to ask the school directly: https://www.christs-hospital.org.uk/contact-us/. I would suggest a phone call backed up by an e-mail so you have a record. Also, I would find out what they mean by employment in terms of hours worked if that indeed is a requirement.

Thank you for your replies.
I did ring the school on the 17th May and was asked to email. I received confirmation that my email was sent to the Finance department to answer.
I did ask about the hours employment too, if they expect it to be full-time or any hours.

How long do they usually take to reply. Would you know?
