Ian, an Old Blue, posted on here a few months back that he was going to do this.

He is now in the middle of it and I was privileged to meet him at a Kent COBS lunch. This has been linked in the Clubs and Societies bit but people don't always look down there and I really think Ian deserves more recognition (and donations) from a wider audience for what he is attempting.

I recommend reading Ian's blog it is fascinating.

He is not a typical slim cyclist! I met him at a Kent COBS lunch and would estimate his height to be around 6' 4" and his weight well over 20 stone yet he is tackling this endurance event to benefit children in Africa.

If you can afford to do so please sponsor him. I really think a guy tackling a challenge so alien to his physique deserves admiration and tangible support.
