Re-unions

I am saddened to find that the forthcoming 60 re-union, will not include those who are 60+
Upon enquiry, I am told that there is "No room" as various sites have to be found around the School, for the events.
I am sure that, judging from the last 60+ there are many OBs who would attend.
Am i alone in detecting a whiff of Budget restraints ?

Like Neill I was disappointed that the sixty plus OB reunion concept appears to have been discarded.
I very much enjoyed the previous one as I met a number of Old Blues who I had not seen for many years. Cannot pressure be put on the authorities at CH to have another one?

I call it age-ism, which I thought was frowned upon, along with racism and sex-ism.
At 64, my legs are still good, even if my hands and shoulders are a little dodgy !
CH STAFF, please take note !!

I have never been invited to any reunions. I therefore presumed the 60+ was for those who had left more than 60 years ago, and that I might soon qualify.

I was asked to the 40yr Reunion because I was there 40 years ago, not because I'm 40...

CH database seems to be a bit hit and miss.
I was mildly upset some years ago when I received a photo of a reunion to include in the magazine, only to find that they were all my exact contemporaries. I should have been there and would have been there had I been sent an invite.
I felt pleased that I had recognised most of them, except one, who had grown a beard.

Guys, guys, stop the whinging and do what the gals did - organise one yourselves.
I'm not recommending turning up en masse without consulting the school, but surely if you alerted them to numbers and offered some dates, they would do their best to be accommodating? Or not: in which case just turning up might be the way to go.

I note that the 2012 calendar on the December CHOBA e-newsletter now includes a 65+ Reunion. So someone 'up there' must have listened to you, Neill! Bear in mind that it refers to years since leaving the school, not chronological age!

On a quick scan of the same newsletter I can't see any details of a 40 year Reunion for 2012.
Mind you it stops at September.

I think I qualify on both counts !
I assume that Zimmerframes and wheelchairs, plus attendant Carers, will be the norm !
