A little bit of trumpet blowing......

This weekend was mine and Jan's 40th wedding anniversary. Our two girls laid on a party at Dorking FC club house on Saturday evening, attended by friends and team officials from Dorking FC and some of the Dorking Ladies team and their officials.
A great evening.
On Sunday, the actual day of our anniversry, Dorking Ladies played at home against Burgess Hill, and our eldest daughter, (as usual), was on the bench as a coach and substitute.
Emma would be the first to admit that she is well the wrong side of 35, but still enjoys getting a run-out on the pitch.
Dorking were winning 4 - 0 with about 20 minutes to go, so our captain decided to give our 3 substitutes a run out.
Emma normally plays in the back four in defence, but found herself shoved up front with our star winger in support. She was lucky enough to be running in when our winger managed to fire a hard cross from near the corner post which landed at Emma' feet and she slammed home into the net to make our win 5 - 0.
It made mine and Jan's day complete !
