Happy Birthday, Vonny!

Have a good day, Vonny. I am sure you will be aware (which nobody else seems to have noticed - or at least mentioned?) that today is also actually St Matthew's Day, which means I shall have no difficulty in future remembering that it is your birthday. It is also the wedding anniversary of Ian and Alison Branch (nee MacLagan - not sure about spelling) - apparently somebody told the vicar who married them about the CH custom of handing out money on St Matthew's Day, so he included it in their wedding ceremony.

OOps bit late but Hippy Birdie Vonny! Hope you've had a good one.
Yes, I was at Alison's Wedding - the vicar gave her a 20p coin which she had nowhere to put, so she handed it to her groom and the vicar pointed out that he had better not forget to return it later!

Thanks all!
I know I am getting older but I know I replied to this thread on Tuesday - where's it gone?!
I remember having a party on 21 September 1981 in 2's to celebrate St Matthew's Day - I was chuffed as it fell on my birthday!

Maria's little sister used to be teased about having a birthday on 1 April - other children said that if she was born on April Fool's Day she must be a fool; so we concocted a suitable reply 'I was also born on Mother's Day, but it doesn't make mean I am a mother!' . Now she is! (Coincidentally Maria's husband also has a 1 April birthday.)

Coincidentally my husband, brother-in-law and sister-in-law all share a birthday.

I did try to give birth to my son on 1st April, but he had other plans and turned up 4 days later.... missed the trifecta
I did however take great glee in calling my little sister an April Fool this year for the first time in 37 years....
(little things....)
