AGAIN at the last attempt to read one I was informed that I had tried too many times, to log in ---- this on the FIRST attempt !!
I'm afraid I really cannot be bothered any more, I sincerely hope that anything which friends have to say to me, can be open to view.
If you MUST contact me --- my postal address is --- 34 Gladelands Way, Broadstone, Dorset BH18 9JB

I wanted to reply to Frances --- but my Emails keep being refused by her "btinternet" address

I am sure kind people will want to give me further instructions ----- Please Don't !

I am obviously in a minority of one, as mine got through and I got the pictures back, fortunately.

Joe (my husband) had a delicious email yesterday, purporting to come from the Revenue. You know the one "you are entitled to a refund of Income Tax. Please send us your bank details etc etc". The old spoilsport just deleted it, and wouldn't let me fill in the form with "get ST*****"

It's not personal - I always have troubled replying to mum's btinternet address, too! Luckily we have Skype!

Yes, a couple of e-mails recently have taken 3/4 days to travel between here and Finland - it would be quicker to fly over with them. Maybe the 'wireless' connections are buried in the ice, or the ether is just particularly thick around the Gulf of Bothnia - another strange side-effect of global warming?

Depending on your software you might be able to get it back; look for a deleted or similar file or for "reveal deleted" on your reader

Deleting is the smarter option. Any reply confirms that they have found a working email address, so you will be added to all additional spam, plus your address will be sold/traded to other spammers.

Yes J Hopgood --- got the picture -- regrettably not the one of the flattened City
No Frances ---all mine to you get returned as "No BT internet Server address "

On the general subject --
I recently made a donation to a Charity, to which I have not previously donated ------

LO ! during the last three weeks, I have received no less than FOUR appeals.

ONE of them was from a Charity which I already support !!!!!

I am sure they all sell your name, and address, or Email to each other as a "Soft Touch"

Because I am "Notorious" and a miserable old B --- I havew deleted each one from any further donations -- so in my case, it has been counter-productive !

I don't know about New England / US of A but here in the UK it is very easy to get a new email address at a new ISP free of charge which can be used for spam baiting; a number of ISPs have very good spam filters so most rubbish does not even get through to the main mail list. I have them in two diferent countries, it's that easy and legal as well. Just think of a well known ISP (but see next para :o ) and look at their web site; there will probably be an online invitation there. Do use a postal address in their own country.
One of my ISPs occasionally has slowdowns /out of service so customers have, shown on screen, an alternative beta entry which has always been exceptionally rapid (but also uses more PC resources). BTinternet eat your heart out. I THINK that Yahoo is trialing a similar idea.

The big problem here seems to be btinternet, not necessarily Neill's ISP, as evidenced by his quote
No Frances ---all mine to you get returned as "No BT internet Server address "

I'll keep looking. I have yet to throw away a photo sent to me, I just have a very bad filing system.
If found, I will give it to you on OBD.
My sister Josephine is also going, so we are just waiting to see if we can make it a full house and get my brother to attend.

Regrettably, I shall not be there on OBs Day (Big Family Re-union), but it has occurred to me, that the photo may not be with you at all -----

I sent it to Paddy, with the comment that the Drum Major (He !) was a "Fine figure of a man -- destined for a brilliant Military Carreer !" he may well have kept it for himself, which is fine, he deserved it -- and now we can't ask him !
