Firstly, aaagh it's my last St. Matthew's Day

On another note, is anyone coming up? Any faces to look for as I go along (2nd/3rd rank, left-hand file, 2nd House after band)?

Josh, sadly we can't come and watch but do you know if they take photos every year?

I was going to post and ask if anyone was going and would they take photos if there weren't some official ones as we have a special interest in the whole thing this year :D

Yes they do and all the official photos are on the school site at: http://www.christs-hospital.org.uk/photos/ you can also order them from the photographer. They do take a while to upload the new photos onto the site though.
I'll be there on Friday so I'll take lots of photos and I will try to put them up here.

what particularly do you want photos of? I shall be taking some pics and will happily email to you if you let me know.

Also, does anyone know whether the reception this year is back at guildhall - hope it is, this will be our last time as parents - I will have been all 11 times - first two at St paul's with full school, and once when the heavens openend and everyone got very wet!

Thanks very much for your replies :)

I would particularly like a couple of photos of the drum majors - this is my son's time out with the Band on St Matthew's Day - wish we could be there! He's a Dep so will be in the second line of DMs I would imagine (they all seem to have shortish dark hair so I'm not sure how to give you a better description)!

My daughter is also there with the choir for the first time this year - do they march as well?

Thank you so much.

The last few years they have done it, its only been Deps, Grecians, Choir and Band that go, everyone else stays for a half day at school.
What was your sons name? I was in the band last year, so I will probably be able to work out who he is and get pics etc...

I have a few of photos with one of the drum majors who I think could be your son (sorry if I've got the wrong boy!) I'll post them up tomorrow. :)

The whole event was real joy.The DMs were particularly fine I thought and certainly wowed the crowd! The service was beautiful -dignified and meaningful but also full of warmth and happiness.

I have put up some of my photos in the photo section of the site. The right sides of the photos are cut off though.
