Trouble...Assistence Urgently Required

Could anyone give me some advice as to a little trouble I was having with regards to waiting lists.

In the last couple of weeks my mother has rung the admissions office, to ask for any new or clues as to the waiting list situation, on my behalf and entirely at my request. However, not only does this seem like pushy parenting it almost certainly guarantees that I will move further down that list  I also remember messing up my social interview, and giving those key details to the archeology teacher instead :axe:
Therefore, I was wondering if I should remedy the situation be writing personally, explaining more about my life and also, the complete desperation as I'm rather sure is obvious by the tone set by me with each ruddy post I make.
It is also less the desperation to escape, but more a passion since I have been enamored with the school since I was ten. (my dream has been to attend since then, and it is dreadfully hard to impart these kind of feelings without sounding like a prat or a lunatic)
I do realise that all the places already given, are probably better deserved, and in that sense I am totally happy for them, but this is an oppourtunity I have been waiting for, for 6 years  , and I will not let it rest until I have a final judgement.
In a very strong sense I am not content to wait, since I have been doig that for so long now, and would rather they made a final decision, as to keep me or leave me. it is excruciatingly painful to stay like this...

I will ask for a definite decision on my entry which will of course be a decline of my application. I would much rather to be able to remove some of uncertainties this life brings.

Whether or not sending a letter will change my situation, I thought I'd better ask everybody here before composing and posting anything just yet.

Also I leave myself at the mercy of those who find this post/topic too egregious, from one who has only been active in the last couple of days.

I say yes.... it certainly won't harm you and if you want me to read it first, then let me know...

I agree - do write but make it your best ever letter: well-written, neat handwriting, accurate spelling and grammatically correct. I really don't see how it can do you any harm and you should be able to convince the Admissions Board both that you really, really want the place and that you are a deserving candidate. If it was me I would address it to the Headmaster but to the appointment rather than to him by name.

Good Luck!

I agree with loringa, and also think it a good idea if you take Matt up on his offer.

I agree with writing to them although try to write it in such a manner its not too negative...or down but put positives to your concerns (it wil make you sound less moany).

Thank you so much for your kind replies, they certainly have not gone amiss. I have finished the letter and will write it out before sending, and as many of you have agreed upon I am waiting to take up Matt's offer, as so as he tells me how he'd like it sent to him.
If anybody else would like to comment on the conents, it would be more than appreciated but I would rather I emailed it personally than on here for all and sundry to be aware of. Not that I have anything against "all and sundry" only, it's quite a personal letter :)
