Lousey

I have just read the last few editions of Lousey. It is a very funny, if at times unfairly aggresive, satirical magazine. Obviously I am under attack at the moment :( . I am happy to be lampooned but hope that not everyone thinks that i am a distinterested, lazy, money grabbing tyrant! I have worked for CH for 10 years and have a great respect for the place and the many pupils I have met along the way. In my defence against being lazy, I will add that nearly every pupil I taught last year for A level or GCSE got an A*, A or B!

Can't say that I have seen the latest issue of lousey, but good to see you can take it with good grace and give it back to the authors!

I wouldn't take it personally...

From what I call tell, Lousey does seem to be a fairly typical school boy/girl publication! Extreme views, not necessarily at all fair, but deemed amusing.
I'd probably also suggest that anyone who's getting attention in it, probably means they're making a difference of some sort...

Lousey authors:- just be careful you're not being overly personal, as you could easily seriously upset!
I've felt it should aim towards the intelligent cutting humour of Private Eye - a good benchmark?

Lousey is alive and well as part of the 'Peaceful Revolution'.

I have heard the Lousey discussed this evening. Anyone remember the CH Blog? That was an eyebrow raiser and got the SMT really annoyed. I would suggest that the editors of Lousey are careful not to go the same way as the Blog.

@ Mr. Stannard (or any West-dweller), do you know what became of West's copy? I should like to peruse it and see what they say. And it seems you're not onewestguncopse after all - what a mystery...

I've said this before, but I'm delighted to hear that Lousey is still going.

Stuart Abercrombie's original and at least one later incarnation were certainly available online, though I don't know about the current version.

I`ve heard that it`s not on-line yet, but will be as soon as the person who`s putting it online gets hold of a printed copy of it.

The old Lousey from 2004- 2005 is online at http://www.lousey.4t.com Not sure about the new one.
I didn't now whether I should actually post the link in case it cause some trouble, but since many people want to read it.. beware some of it is not nice and a bit unfair.

Lovely 'banter', Alice.

OK - A bit near the knuckle, but only banter which has been going on for years, especially in the football world.

Looks like a couple of posts might have been 'edited'/'deleted' !

Surely not censorship at CH ? Whatever next ?

I am shortly to receive copy of the current Lousey, courtesy of my son who said they were left around for people to pick up.
If it's worth reading I will see if I can post it though I suspect that will involve some kind of technology that may defeat me.
