Hi all,

I'm off to China (with work!) and am taking 9 female travel agents with me! (I have permission!)

Off to Beijing, Chengde and Xian!

See you in a couple of weeks!

Has anybody told him that China executes more people than any other country in the world ?

I trust this will advise him to keep his Piccolo well out of sight of those female travel agents !

does the delectable Mrs Plum need any looking after while you are away?

I'm sure she is quite capable of taking care of herself, and she will be keeping busy putting up shelves, decorating etc. while the man is away.

Well, I'm back from China now...

A good time was had by me, but it was perishingly cold at times (snow in Xian and the terractotta warriors) and Beijing was smog filled and congested.

The hotels we styed in were generally excellent and the hospitality is second to none. In fact, there are only so many Chinese banquets you can eat in 10 days - I was dreaming of jacket potatoes with cheese! Alcohol is cheap - a beer can be had for about 10 yuan (65p!)

Saw the Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors, Tiannemen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and many other temples and historical sights!

And I didn't bring back any Asiatic diseases!

You must have frequented expensive establishments to pay so much for a beer!

Or perhaps inflation has been rampant since the last time is was there 14months ago!

I must try and get back soon.

Glad you enjoyed it, though the best way is to get off the beaten track.

Well those 100 year old eggs do take a little time to hatch out.
