I found out today in the Metro that Starsailor have written a song about Jerry Duggan who was in my year at CH but was tragically killed whilst in Germany - please click http://www.justiceforjeremiah.com for more information...

The Metro interviewed the lead singer of Starsailor - James Walsh and asked:

"Why did you write a song about Jeremiah Duggan (a student found dead after mistakenly attending a right-wing rally in Germany)

I was just inspired by his mum speaking on the radio. The difficulty with writing bout the world is that you don't want to seem patronising or write something you know little about. What inspired me about Jeremiah's story is that he came from an everyday background, got involved in the anti-war effort and was incredibly unfortunate that the group he became involved with turned out to be totally different to what they posed as (Duggan thought it was an anti-war organisation). I was more comfortable writing about that than trying to speak for Iraqis or Africans."

I'm not sure Hendrik - but my belief is that Jerry was in Germany as part of his study and joined an anti war group - he thought it was anyway but it was a neo nazi group masquerading as an anti war group...

that's it, Schiller. Lyndon LaRoche. i believe he's very active in the States. doesn't he run for presidential election or something?
he was expelled from the Socialist Worker Party in this country I think, presumably for being a Nazi.

just read that (huge) article in wikipedia. it's presumably written by several different people. it starts off praising him for his vague plans to cure the world and ends up by quoting him saying truely horrible stuff.
he advocates that child lynch mobs go out with baseball bats and kill gays to stop the spread of AIDS.
cults scare me. a lot.
