Alan, could I make a suggestion? Just posting a URL without any inkling of what it may contain is unlikely to prompt people - well, me, anyway - to follow it. Especially as you have already shown yourself to have a somewhat...errr...'individual' sense of humour. If I don't get any clues, I usually can't be bothered. At the very least, it's polite netiquette these days to indicate whether a link is 'work safe' or not.

Alan, my father (who was 9 years older than Unwin and had been a magician, a singer and a MC in his time) was a devotee, and I remember this guy so well from the 60s and 70s. I haven't got any further than the biography on the website, but it was fascinating. Thangleemode muchlioso.
He was in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang??? I don't remember that...
