People don't reply... it's often a hassle...

I'm currently waiting my uncle and his family's response for Josh's christening - which is in just over 2 weeks... I have facebooked them, invited them by invitation in the post... what else can I do?

With the invite they got an RSVP card and addressed envelope to return it in, they literally have to put a stamp on it

sorry yes we are just 5 weeks and 4days away hence no update-if i havent been working i have been wedding!!

However this weekend was a breakthrough moment-hair trial done and it looked lovely, i then kept it up all day as i went mother of the bride shopping with mum to see if it would last.....and it did :)

Yes mob (what a abbreviation) shopping was fun-mum had already seen the dress she wanted, but had been rather silly and not bought it at the time. Off we went to a well known outlet in Debenhams to see if the dfress was there and in her size, well the dress was there and in the sale (my dad would be happy) but not her size. This dress was THE dress-nothing i could wave in her direction could compare.....chat to nice sales girl and 1 print out from their system later of shops with the dress in size later i was on the phone to fenwicks in canterbury (they had the dress in the size) so reserved it and me and h2b pootled off to canterbury on sunday morning to get the dress-thankfully its in sale there too!!!

Also whilst trying to find an amazing dress, i happened past a cream bolero....ohhh they would suit bridesmaids (october in strappy dresses-may get chilly) wonder how much and if there are enough..alas there were 5-you will never see someone snatch tings so quickly and the shop had 20%-result all round.

So a very productive day...and the list goes on

oh we did sort out the service and some classic CH hymns are in :)

Can't wait to see the pictures afterwards... and the Order of Service with the CH hymns, Amy! Although I expect that by then you might be a bit busy as a Newly Married Wife...
Anyway, I hope all goes well between now and then and I send you my very best wishes for this hugely special day!
Let's all pray for perfect weather.

This is what Amy wrote on her favourite Housey hymn topic. I imagine though she doesnt want the Foundation Hymn or the
tear jerker Magnificat thing!

Well bar the Foundation Hymn which should be a given!

Glorious things of thee are spoken, Zion city of God-John Newton....which i have down as a hymn for the wedding
How great though art
oh and its escaped me but there is one sung at the leavers service-magnificant something?????

The hymns are........
The lord is thy shepheard-the Dibley version :0
Glorious things of thee are spoken
How shall I sing that majesty-not worried about it being a tear jerker as by that point ill be in floods of tears

yes 4 week and we are into final bits mode. h2b and Best man are having suits measured today, the others have all sent their details as they cant make it. Off to test sample cupcake next week. Had last dress fitting last week but it still not quite right!!! Now its a case of writing up orders of service and making favour boxes.........oh and the seating plan which is proving quite straightforward

Amy --- I am SOOO Glad, that you chose the "Dibley" version for thw 23rd Psalm --- which is sung by the Choir in my Church

I have made all the arrangements for my Funeral --- bit late for Weddings -- and I have stated that, if anybody sings the 23rd Psalm to the tune of "Crimond" (Shades of Crematoria Quickies !) --- I'll 'AUNT em !

Our Organist, who has a lovely sense of humour, has promised to tweak bits of it into the Voluntaries, and see if he gets a sepuchural visitation !!!

I doubt it, you will be feeling too smug.
