well the 4pm storm has not materilialized, and have rechecked the weather forecast for here - and guess what - merely cloudy, high of 27C overnight (arghhhhhhhhhhh!!) and rain tomorrow - hmmmm, the sun is shining, the curtains are closed, and we are gradually roasting. It looks far too clear for a thunder storm let alone rain!
"someone has phoned in with news of a hurricaine, Well I'd like to reassure Mrs x that there is no hurricaine" - remind anyone?????????

We had a flash storm at 4pm in Amersham where I work, thunder lightning and about 1/2 in. of rain in 15 minutes. 2 miles away there was not a cloud in the sky and not a drop of rain.

done all of that - tried to embrace the sun, but turned into a lobster....
showers are on max cold.....
bed open with just a sheet should I need it
fan playing in room
I can handle dry heat - it's this humid stuff that drains you - and yes I know we NEVER have summers here!!
Well in some counties they have had torrential rain!
just not here! have togo water the plants - again my "grey" water is reducing rapidly!

ok there is one thing to do
not comfortable either
pour 3 or 4 inches of cold water in the bath and sleep there
not the most brilliant idea I know but desparate measures are called for
don't pour the bath full as you will drown

try alcohol in the bath - I always thought drowning in a butt of malmsey sounded fun. Wasn't it good old Clarence that did that?

I just LOVE this weather - I wish it would last for ever. Basking sharks in the bay, girls showing off their bikinis, Pimms on the patio, ice clinking in the glass, merrymaking on the briny, distant shouts from the dancing disco boats as they twinkle across the estuary under the stars, the opportunity to aerate one's anatomy ........ gorgeous.
PS in Flushing, we have only just had enough rain to water the hydrangeas - and then, of course (it being this paradise on earth), only at night.

It happened again today, except even more rain.
