Every morning a DJ (it may have been Chris Tarrant) would ask a question and the 'best' answer would win a prize. I remember him asking this question in 1979, shortly after '10' came out, and the winning asnwer was Ravel's Bolero.

for those of you who are not old enough to have seen the film, or with bad memories, this was the music playing as Dudley Moore was drooling over Bo Derek as she walked along the beach.

I seem to remember seeing a Danish film demonstrating how this should be done !

The name you are searching for is Richard Bond
I do remember Richard Bond now you've mentioned him (did he teach politics?? :? ) but that's not who I was thinking of. I remember having Mr Sims and this other bloke for our polecon lessons - his classroom was one of the ground floor ones near the Octagon.
This is still bugging me   Wondering if maybe Hoob can remember the name of the politics teacher we had at this time?
Thanks to the OB email from Steve Webb today I now know the name I was searching for - it is Julian LAWSON-HILL (Staff 1986-87) :D

I'd blame the lads myself - I was the only girl in that class  Was the only girl in English as well  The only lessons I had where there were other girls was history!

I was the only girl in my history GCSE group, with Andrew Husband. He took me aside after the first lesson and asked if I wanted to switch subjects but I was adamant that I wanted to do mediaeval history, and after that never had any trouble with the boys in the class. I think I earned their respect by not running for the door and other girls company.

He took a lot of people aside.

What a coy pseudonym! Anyone know what happened to him?

Have only just found this forum, so am still getting used to the layout.
Shoz - there is just so much about CH, you'd have to be a wee bit more specific. I'm sure if you PM anyone though, they'd be more than happy to answer any of your questions.

Writing as a another "old school Blue", I must say it's encouraging to know that CH is still producing people like yourself. I've just found the forum myself after much cajoling by "Richard" - he was known as Dick when we were at school & my kids just call him "Uncle Biggus"

I think that belongs on the film quoted thread.

Carry On Cleo.
