Re: 2012 Admissions Thread
Goodness knows how long it will take to get to France! We have a worse than useless postal service! How many antacids can one stomach take? I am too old for sleepless nights! I had hoped DS had forgotten about it, but he told me the other day that he was "very stressed" waiting for the results. He knows very well they are due tomorrow as they were told at the test that they would be out on Valentine's Day!

If other's arrives today the I'm sure the school wont object to you phoning. Given your location.
I'm still doing my letterbox vigil.
Best of luck.

Congratulations! And well done to your DCs.
Was it a big or small envelope?
I daren't ring up. If I did and it was a yes, then it would be okay, but if I did and it was a no, then I think I'd cry. I am just too nervous. Our post has been, and nothing, so maybe tomorrow.

Re: 2012 Admissions Thread
He's in!
The letter came today. I was out lurking for the postman, who doesn't come till about mid-day, and flagged him down. There, lying on the seat, was the A4 envelope! I ripped it out of his hands as he offered it, I can tell you!
I was so convinced he wasn't going to get a place! I burst into tears of relief, I can tell you. I am a bit prone to tears at emotional moments! Now we just have to work out how to pay the contribution PLUS get him there and back regularly! I'm sure we'll cope somehow.
Anyway, off to celebrate with a chocolate muffin I think.
He is SOOOOOO excited.

Are there really only three parents who contribute to this thread? and all three have had their children accepted? There is a moral here somewhere - showing an interest in this forum gains your child extra Brownie points, maybe? Seriously though, congratulations to all of you. Now the fun begins............

Congratulations: Just a thought about travelling to CH from France. Flybe have flights between Gatwick and three French airports. I'm told that Gatwick to CH is easy on the train (two stops). Perhaps other forum members who live in Sussex area could advise better about travel from Gatwick to CH. If you can plan ahead it's possible to get cheap flights with Flybe and I have seen them do the usual special meet and greet for unaccompanied minors. Good luck anyway.
