And further, dear Helen, would I add
There was nothing YOU said that was bad.
So let me now own
That 'twas not your moan
That makes "the authorities" mad!

There once was a time
When you scolded Great Plum for his line.
Now YOU follow his lead
In paying no heed
To the need to keep it in rhyme.
Touche Dave but then give me a break ( acute accent on touche!)
I thought he was mad for Godsake
I just tried a way
On the need thread to say
Things that I had not thought were opaque.
(How do the French cope with the internet - do they have keyboards with accents?)

Dear Helen,
Should your want be acute
Try 'Alt 130' and shoot.
'Though somewhat passé
Accents done the same way
Include grâves and çedillas to boot.
(Well ALT and 131 or whatever)

Too long on this site I do lurk
When really I should work
You may not care
My thoughts to share
time no longer to shirk

I'm glad to see new talent here
I hope you will still persevere
It's time wasted well
And I'd like to tell
All the others who lurk to appear.

The topic of leaving emotions
Gives rise to some questions and notions
Are people who cry
Sad or happy or shy
Or showing a special devotion?

Today on a bit of a whim
I followed our Tiger Tim
But to my dismay
He really didn't play
Now that's the end of him!

So 900 clicks on this thread
Show interest in verse isn't dead
So choose your own booze
And let's toast the muse
And poets - take heart! you're being read!

It seems that some old boys of yore
From the sixties and often before
Lacked much in their learning
Of things they were yearning
To know about girls, sex and more.

I know I'm the only contributor at the moment but how about some of you pitching in??
Some partners seem faintly amused
While others are really bemused
When Latin school rhymes
And nostalgic school times
Are the products of Old Blues and booze.

So if you're a uni Old Blue
And you'd like to help new people too
And show them what's what
Just give it a shot
And then take them off for a brew.

On Saturday they beat the retreat
As another School year is complete
It was always so grand
Listening to the band
Standing in the sun and the heat

AND IN ADDITION........
With a few OB's at the Bax,
Perhaps we should send them a fax.
The landlords bitter.....
Can make you feel fitter,
Then it works just like good old EX-Lax !!

You're all looking hard for The Rap
Which seems to have gone off the map
So come on, Old Blues,
There's no time to lose
Write another, and fill in the gap.

The access to Who's Blue online
Seems something to do with design
Of the site, and besides
Unless someone decides
It's worthwhile, he'll say thanks, but decline.
