Well it's all over now until 2012! I thoroughly enjoyed it all sitting here in Luxemburg and watching either French, German and Belgian coverage. Great result for GB and we can only hope to top that in London. Vive le Sport!

I don't think she'll be signing too many checks for quite some time, just cashing them. This was Thailand's first ever Olympic gold medal - you can't believe what a national hero she has become overnight, and will undoubtedly remain so all her life. Well done her, more power to her elbow, shoulders, thighs, etc.

Yes it is but the founder of the IOC was still a Frenchman not a suisse romande...and this is the main reason.
