Hoping to get to Horsham for the big day. We'll probably make a long weekend of it, as Sir has inlaws from his first marriage in the area, and I have a great-neice in Horsham (works in planning dept of local council). I'm looking forward to putting faces to names.

There's talk of a charabanc travelling up from the South_West. That would be fun!!

A charabanc! How Mallory Towers, or Jennings if you prefer.

It might be a good idea to circulate a list of local hotels / guesthouses etc. so that people who will need to stay for a night or two can make their plans.

Perhaps we could include this in any official Old Blues Day info. I'll see what can be done.......

One thing I would note about that is that the hotels around Horsham are often very top end (South Lodge etc) or there are guesthouses.

As it is at a weekend and in the middle of the 'wedding season' people will need to book up as quickly as possible - when we were trying to find places for people to stay for our wedding, many of the B&Bs and the Travel lodge in Horsham had already been booked out 6 months in advance by entire wedding parties!

I did a little bit of checking into accomodation yesterday and found that there were a few places in Crawley for as little as £26 a night if you book early. they were on the A23 as well.

One place was the travellodge in Crawley. It worked out that I could have my whole family (me + wife + 3 daughter) for 2 nights for £120

There is also a travelodge in Horsham by the staiton (maybe it's a premier travel inn) I wonder if the CHA could hold some rooms at a place like that.

There's also one near Billingshurst - I think DBTS has used it:

Is that insurance building still by the station or has it been taken over for another use?
