yes - that IS a long way! my last trip from Miami to Falmouth in a 30 footer took me six weeks!

By "across" i simply meant, well ............. across! You know, as across the top of it rather than underneath. Not necessarily going the whole way! I don't alas get much opportunity to go the whole way, these days. :(
