ps are you the man who started with tractors and then invented the Aston Martin - (David Brown is the DB in Aston Martin DB4,5,6,7,SV8 and 9)

Tractors - got sold to those green fellas Deere (as in Oh Deere).

Cars: No I didn't invent them - that was done in the last century by some clever geezers. Now an upmarket Mondeo

Thanks for the info - I didn't realise that Aston Martin cars were made in the Victorian era. Along with those Lambourghinis, I expect. They started out on tractors too. Never saw the link between tractors and flash sports cars - wonder if there is a missing link?

Odd you mention Goodwood - my uncle ran the motor racing circuit in the 60's and I met Brabham and Surtees among other boyhood heroes.

Since thios is the only communication method open to me, FWIW there is a PM to you answering that (politely, surprisingly) together with one to Spoonbill dated 14th Nov (beware surgery in Amersham - funny things come out of hospitals there), to JR today (don't stop taking the pills) and Simon K dated Feb 16th (answering a question about dinosaurs).
