My DD is very, very excited to be seeing Team GB tomorrow and I must admit to being a wee bit jealous - what an amazing experience for the kids!

Only a little bit jealous! I wanted to wrestle the tickets off my son.

Made me smile when I got a text saying 'Eton is horrible'

Still he took loads of photos, it looked fantastic

Yes my son was not impressed by Eton, he reckoned Ch was far superior !

Sounds like they had a great time - I'm green with envy!

I wonder if the paralympics will get as much coverage and sponsorship ?

I do really hope so !

Well the tickets are nearly sold out so fingers crossed they will. I thought it was a great shame that the olympic torch could not be kept burning until the paralympics was over. This may not be the way it has been done in the past but GB could have tried to change that.

I know that GB did well in the olympics, but I have always had a little more regard and respect for the paralympics.

No money, yet great courage and strength of mind.

I fully agree and consider that the paralympics should be very closely linked to the earlier olympics with an opening ceremony as far as possible similar with the same pomp and ceremony and same person starting them (FWIW I don't know if HM will open them and hope the senior Royal Family will attend as openly as they did at the past olympic games)

I think the Paralympics and the Olympics should be combined and the events be all intermingled. I don't see why the 2 events have to be separated at all.

In principal, fine, but probably too time consuming and it would be a logistical nightmare.

Horsham is hosting a Paralympics flame event on this Saturday morning in Horsham Park if anyone (else) is interested in going.
